CHRISTMAS-2011-9‘Twas some time after Christmas, and still we felt warm and fuzzy over the (relatively) quiet holiday that we spent with our respective families.

What We Celebrated: Duh, what do you think?

Christmas, of course!

How could we not? ‘Tis the season to be jolly, after all. And besides, Christmas is the quintessential STATUS Holiday. You stay up all night, you eat two dinners, you get a bunch of freebies (lucky ducks even get some mullah in an envelope), and you spent it with people that are important to you. And that’s exactly what the we did that Christmas Day—we spent it with our families. But never fear. Through midnight greetings and a few fuzzy moments of clinginess, we still managed to greet our STATUS family a Merry Christmas.

What We Caroled:

“Hula Hoop” by Alvin and the Chipmunks

“Winter Wonderland” by Radiohead

“Silent Night” by Weezer

What We Wish:

Sure going out all night is fun, but staying in with your family is cool too. Have dinner together, ent a movie, play board games… go all 1950s. It’s more fun than you think. And if it doesn’t turn out that way, then hey, at least you tried right (and you can rub it in their faces after). The holidays are all about family. Cherish them, yo! They’re the only one you got.

WTF:

Perhaps the biggest WTF is that there was no WTF. All quiet at the Western Front as we all celebrated the holiday with peace on earth and good will towards men.—DEXYLEBOWSKI
