Day 5 was spent with cowboys and Indians (from India). A lot of characters were met and even the Big Bad Wolf made a bit of an appearance. Turns out he’s not as bad as everyone thinks he is—although, can’t say the same for those cowboys and Indians. Some (and by that we mean most) were naughty, and some (and by that we mean a few) were nice. Find out who’s guilty of what as the STATUS team party rocked the night away.
What We Celebrated: Family—Our STATUS family
STATUS celebrated Christmas like only STATUS can, beginning with a “Cowboys and Indians” themed Christmas party at Big Bad Wolf . Games were played, gifts were exchanged, awards were given, a presentation was performed, food magically disappeared before your eyes, and for us, Santa came early with an office raffle where everyone won something. From backs breaking to editors shufflin’, it was a great way for everyone in STATUS to start the holiday festivities. Nothing but mad love and laughs.
Then came the after party that turned into a random night of having some drinks at The Distillery and ended at a certain contributor’s house party. We work hard (FYI: all the editors made it right on time back to the office. Party at night and work in the morning without a sweat, ya’ll!) and obviously party harder. It’s always a good time when the STATUS team is around.

What We Caroled:
Of course we just had to play the Slumdog Millionare soundtrack during the party. But interestingly enough, this particular song followed us even to the after party.
Of course we also had to play some holiday songs.
What We Wish:
Time to get some cheese in here. Togetherness and growth would be an awesome Christmas gift for us. Meaning for our family to stay together, and for us to grow not just as individuals, but in numbers. New members are very much welcome!
WTF:
Too many to count, but let’s summarize the best shall we?
- Being called racists because of our costumes. We at STATUS do not discriminate, nor do we mean to offend any race or culture with our party theme. Please comprehend the meaning of ‘costume party’ guys.
- Partying with one of our night vision photog’s mom. Yeah, the gang accepts all races and ages.
- Playing Hunger Games over the food at the interns table. Former intern AIDSHOT and I definitely won this round.
- Turning The Distillery into a club—dancing Party Rock like bauces and getting the whole place to dance with us.
From everyone at the STATUS family, happy holidays everyone!—VEGGIE SAMURAI
