SAINT YOUNG MEN (2013)
One day, two best friends/holy entities Jesus and Buddha, goes down to Earth to go on a vacation in Japan. They go on a series of hijinks which includes Buddha riding a rollercoaster for the first time, Jesus getting mistaken for Johnny Depp and becoming a successful blogger, and Buddha throwing Jesus a birthday party on Christmas day while Jesus remains oblivious that December 25 is not Santa’s birthday.
The plot sounds like a joke you hear from a middle age man in a sports bar. But it’s actually a pretty hilarious and fun anime film that might be a borderline sacrilegious.
STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL (1978)
Happy Life Day to all jedis and rebels, apparently! Where do we begin in this PG holiday special that oozes with slight awkwardness and a lot of cringe-y moments? As Chewbacca and Han are known Rebel agents, they are pursued by the Galactic Empire, who in the process invade Chewbacca’s household.”

A COSMIC CHRISTMAS (1977)
Let’s see, three aliens resembling the three wise men go to your home to know the true meaning of Christmas? That sounds totally normal. To the X-Philes out there with an I Want to Believe poster plastered on your wall, this could be your jam… or at least what you can show your kid/nieces/nephews on aliens that is PG friendly and festive.
Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984)
For the Scrooges out there with a need for a thrill, this one is for you! America’s most hated Christmas film is here. This is one of the earliest films that portrayed good ‘ol Saint Nick as a serial killer. Ads for this were censored, protestors rallied to shut the film down, and finally it was yanked out of the theaters due to the controversy. But if you want some variety and darkness in your Christmas — this is the ticket!
This one could be mistaken to be a film for the #3dg3l0rdz who hates the holiday season. But really, it’s for the hardcore X-masers out there! Now, we all know Saint Nick. But no one has ever heard of his creepy Austro-Bavarian half-goat, half-demon shadow. This comedy horror film centers around a dysfunctional family with a son named Max who’s chockfull with the holiday spirit and belief in Santa.
But everything went awry when his cousins mocked him for his letter to Santa, causing him to tear the letter apart and sent it through the cold North winds, accidentally summoning the demon. Always keep your sunny side up this holidays… or else.
TOKYO GODFATHERS (2003)
This wholesome, heartwarming Christmas anime film is not what you would expect from the makers of the mindfuck sci-fi film that Inception was based of. An unusual trio composed of a middle-aged alcoholic, a teenage runaway, and a former drag queen found a baby while scavenging in the dumpster. With only a handful of clues on the identity of the baby, they tried to put their difference aside for once and look for the baby’s parents.
