In our film issue, we related that the most important lesson filmmaker Adolfo Alix, Jr. learned is to be honest in depicting realities because that way, “the more the audience responds to it.” No wonder he’s been paving his way in the independent filmmakers scene both locally and internationally with his films like Donsol, Adela, and Manila. And now, he has landed in the list of Hollywood Reporter’s annual Next Generation Asia.

The list honors 20 executives and talent, all ages 35 and under, who identify as the best of Asian entertainment.
