“In other news, Batman Behind Fidel Castro’s…” Wait, what? Yeah, you see that right. But it’s 1) not a screencap from a movie 2) obviously not real. It’s just one of Indonesian artist Agan Harahap‘s photomanipulations–putting our favorite comic superheroes (and a supervillain) in wartime situations.
In Agan’s curiously serious/ funny take on “What if superheroes fought during the wars?” Batman is a commanding officer during the British invasion, Superman heads an expedition to recover European art from the Nazis, Darth Vader is posing with Allied officers, and Spiderman is defensively fleeing in Cherbourg. Now where is Wolverine not being hurt by bullets? And who else should be where?
