Street wear brand Akomplice has tied together with full-length documentary feature Blue Gold: World Water Wars to come up with a capsule collection of tees and water bottles to raise awareness for the impending world water crisis. Sam Bozzo’s documentary film, released in 2008, foretells a future in which wars are fought over the control of the world’s declining water supply.
Just released on September 3rd, Labor Day, the three-piece line of shirts features the film’s provocative cover art—a retro-fitted grenade-water jug. Aside from offering the film’s DVD along with the purchase of any product from the capsule collection, Akomplice is also donating 100% of the profits to the Food & Water Watch.
It’s really ace to see this collab open up an avenue of social and political awareness to the street-centric consumer. Time to go rep a worthy cause, everyone. —ME LOVE YOU LOONG TIME
