Last summer, tragedy struck when actor Anton Yelchin had been killed in a freak accident when his car rolled back on him in his driveway. The 27-year old actor had built impressive credentials, with his involvement in critically-acclaimed indie movies like 5 to 7 and Green Room to the big-budgeted reboot of Star Trek and Terminator franchise.
Aside from expanding his filmography, Yelchin had developed a knack for photography. Five months after his demise, the actor’s family and friends have come together to curate his photographs that will be featured in his first showroom/gallery in Los Angeles. The collection prominently features portraits captured by a range of cameras that include disposables, featuring in-camera effects and a Leica.
The exhibit runs at Los Angeles’ OTHER until December 31, 2016. All photographs are on sale and a share of the proceeds will be donated to the Anton Yelchin Fund, divided between a number of projects for children and students of filmmaking.–SUE D. NYM
