coverAndrogyny takes the next step in its evolution. The couple that loves each other can share the same closet… and the same collection.

I can’t help but think of Annie Hall when I see a woman in the “boyfriend trend,” but something tells me that even Diane Keaton didn’t pull off clothes from Woody Allen’s rack when she dressed up in those iconically dapper digs. That’s where Assembly comes in. Its Fall 2012 line is a collaboration between Assembly New York boutique owner Greg Armas and former Bodkin designer Claire Lampert. Their creative marriage bears fruit in utilitarian trench coats, slim fit trousers, graphic shirts, and fur-lined blazers. Along with it’s unisex pieces, the designers also included some gender-specific, but perspective-bending elements like waist-tied dresses for the ladies and hoodies for the gents.—DEXYLEBOWSKI
