Everyone has been speculating who really is the person behind the pseudonym Banksy, an England-based artist and activist.
Ever since he introduced his art, the world fell in-love with them and his anonymity has always been part of his appeal. The search for who he is might be over since DJ and producer Goldie possibly have outed who the illusive artist is.
He was quoted in a podcast interview saying “Give me a bubble letter and put it on a T-shirt and write ‘Banksy’ on it, and we’re sorted. We can sell it now. No disrespect to Robert, I think he is a brilliant artist. I think he has flipped the world of art over.” The Robert that Goldie was talking about is trip-hop group Massive Attack’s co-founder Robert del Naja.
There are a few incidental evidences that led to this rumor like both artists know each other, they hang out within the same crowd, and that whenever Banksy would have new art, it will coincidentally appear somewhere near a Massive Attack concert. Robert have always denied the circling rumors and have said that everything are just merely coincidental, but whether or not he is Banksy, both artists are amazing at their chosen medium of art. – THE D
