Perfect the month of September with this collection of quilted bags, scarves and leggings punctuated with tribal (without being in-your-face) prints. And if don’t wanna overdo your covering up by showing a lil skin, opt for the sheer black top, and maybe layer a blazer over it for a classier look.

And if these visual treats aren’t enough, check out the rest of our interview with our Style Issue’s Mastermind below!-SEREENA

You’d probably be swimming in money right now if you had a dollar each time you’re told you have every woman’s dream job.  Is this what you’ve always wanted to do?
(laughs) Really?!? I’m not even close to that point but actually… no, this wasn’t. Coming out of my “wee” years I was actually supposed to be a lawyer but I chose fashion instead. Can you guess how enthusiastic my parents were about that??? Now, they understand that I chose what came natural to me so let’s just say we’re all happy that I’m OK.

As an online retailer, how do you deal with the disadvantages of not having an actual physical environment for people to shop in, and not having your merchandise available for customers to try on?
I’m actually an avid online shopper so I just like to think the world revolves around me and they all think like me. (laughs) I’m just kidding. I try to have a presence in our community by having more events and public functions so that people can get to know us in “real life.” As far as trying things on, I try to stay consistent with the sizing across the board with the brands I carry. I work hands on with the fit model and if there are any discrepancies we either note it in the description or return it to the vendor.
You work in fashion retail/the boutique industry, which basically makes a certain aesthetic accessible to more people. How would you reconcile this with the constant need for originality and individual personal style?

There it is again… the funk and the soul. I try to cater to the masses but add a little edge so that when they’re feelin’ funky, they have the option to be.
