After the firmness and solidity of Fall, we’re left wanting something gentle, kind, fragile, but strong. That’s exactly what we got from Jian Lasala‘s collection. Inspired by the nightingale, Jian’s knitted poly and cotton blend separates, tailored pants, suits, dresses, and skirts with simple silhouettes but extraordinary proportions in chic colors. It was just like looking at the sky on a bright Sunday.
It could be one of Jian’s most sophisticated collections to date. I especially love the coordination of the pastels with the belts and wide-brimmed hats of the same colors. Although the collection was mostly light and delicate, this wasn’t a lady thing, per se. Jian also came up with two menswear looks—they were just as saccharine.—HITGIRL
