In our film issue, we told you all about artist and director VA$HTIE. But we have more of the artist cum director in store for you after the jump.
The ’90s-inspired party 1992 was brought on by Vashtie and her best friend Oscar Sanchez. Playing only music from the early 90’s, the event brought out a mix of hip people and top celebrities like Jay-Z, Ne-Yo, Jermaine Dupri, and Patrick Ewing among others. She also did a video with Good Charlotte and Junior Sanchez. And while she wrote the treatment for COMMON’s video, she didn’t direct it, nor was she on set.
Here’s one more from VA$HTIE herself, plus her iPod playlist. ”I don’t drink vodka, maybe the occasional wine or champagne,” she says in her site. To each her own, right? For the full story about this awesome girl, grab a copy of our film issue. -RAYRAE
