Seems like everyone is missing the hell out of the coolest POTUS ever, and that includes Chicago-based designer JOEFRESHGOODS. He designed a capsule of streetwear consisting of shirts, basketball jersey, and jackets as a tribute to Barack Obama and his family.
Here’s what Joe had to say about the line on his website. “With this project, I wanted to timestamp a period in my life where I felt like I can do whatever I wanted to do and be whatever I wanted to be. The night Obama won his first term gave me so much hope, especially & most importantly as a black man. I decided to make a collection saying “thank you” and give me something to smile at every now and then when I look in the closet.”
Joe asked fellow Chicago-native Chance The Rapper to model the line. He even tweeted a couple of photos and jokingly announced that he’s a model now. The entire collection can be seen and copped here.–THE D
