Cut and Paste Cut and Paste is not your ordinary drawing contest. It’s an interactive battle of some of the best digital designers from 16 cities around the world who will perform 2D, 3D, and motion design in front of an audience under time pressure. The catch is that members of the audience can tweet their feedback which will be shown on a large screen while the designers are doing their stuff. Talk about pressure!

In the first place, drawing and designing is originally usually an introvert thing, right? Imagine trying to concentrate while getting cheers from the audience like some basketball game. But then again, these 48 artists have already outmatched some of the other designers during the elimination rounds last June.

The championship will go down at the Hammerstein Ballroom at NYC on Oct. 16. Judges of the event include sponsor 55DSL creative director Andrea Russo, Josh Rubin from Cool Hunting, among others. May the designer with nerves of steel and the best concept win! -RAYRAE
