LA-based DJ Chris Alfaro aka Free the Robots brought his brand of experimental electronic music here in Manila last Saturday just outside B-Side in The Collective.

Fans and first-time listeners found themselves digging the live set with tunes coming from his debut album CTRL ALT DELETE where Alfaro mixes heavy doses of traditional jazz, psych, electronic, hip hop, with progressive melodies and drum machine samples into a pot of electronic madness with synths and beats hovering above the atmospheric texture of sound coming out of the speakers.
The crowd also got samples from acts like Roam Elsewhere, Caliph8, Red-I, Soulflower, Don P, Mulan and Immortal DJs.
Catch Free the Robots again tomorrow night at B-Side at The Collective Makati and see for yourself what the hype is all about. The event is being produced by Dubplate Manila and Obey Streetwear. – JAYRICHKID
