DJ Fashen cites making a living out of a ‘bedroom hobby’ as his greatest accomplishment. But he relates that if he didn’t become a DJ, he’d be out there, working his ass off and paying his bills. That’s just the kind of man he is. “I have a great work ethic. I get that from my father. There’s always something to be done, and someone who needs to do it. May as well be me,” he says.

But he wouldn’t trade his life now for anything. As someone who has spinned for the likes of 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, and Kanye West, he gets to travel and draw inspiration from a lot of different places. He’ll get his drive from the weather, art, architecture, fashion, or whatever interesting he can get his sights on. Talk about having layers!

“I’ve met some of the most interesting people, and been to some of the greatest places on the planet. And I’ve had fun the entire way. I really think it has kept me youthful as well!”
