posterFresh from the UK, “Cushe (pronounced as Cushy) is a footwear brand that goes for an indie lifestyle,” said brand purveyor Gilson Chu while we were listening to the awesome bands in the second leg of the Cushe Collective Bar Tour held in Capone’s Bistro.

The 3-part event kicked off with the same theme as the footwear‘s 3 main categories namely: Urban Safari (Saguijo) which focuses on streetwear, Universal Traveler (Capone’s Bistro) that caters to the rugged and outdoorsy niche, and Coastal Supremacy (Mag: Net High Street) which is for the beach-loving and sandal-wearing individual.

I bet the indie crowd didn’t just love the shoes but also the vibe it represents. With performances from hip-hop-funk band Angulo to the heavy rock of Out of Body Special (yes, they’re voted as one of the top 5 Asian acts to watch in 2008 by Time Magazine!), the brand known for their uniquely soled shoes shows us that whatever you wear is better if you imbibe a little of your “soul” into it.

Cushe is now open in Power Plant Mall, Shangri-la Mall, and Eastwood Mall. -TINDABS
