HIRAYA Arts & Music Festival

Out and About

Published on Wednesday, August 22, 2012

From indie music playing throughout the night to street art being erected live, from cigarettes in one hand to a cup of beer in the other, from buying adrenaline-inducing cupcakes to independent label t-shirts, and from a DSLR strapped on one man’s shoulder to an Instagram-loaded phone grasped by the hand—what’s this merriment, you ask? Why, it’s Hiraya Arts and Music Festival! Held last August 18 by the UP Junior Marketing Association Publicity Event on the corner of 34th Street and 9th Avenue in Bonifacio Global City, the first collegiate arts and music festival in the country left everyone asking for more. Encore, please?—LEMON JELLY
