cover and photo Have you got what it takes to survive Philippine Fashion Week? Why not check your purse and find out.

This Fashion Week, you’ll have no choice but to stash the bare essentials when you’ve got limited space of a teeny-tiny purse. So we give you give basic booty to bring whether you’ll be running around working, or just werq-ing around.

1. Sticky Situations

Because Fashion Week is all about, well, the fashion, you don’t want any wardrobe malfunction happening. So be a good girl scout and pack a box or a couple extra pre-cut body adhesive. Remember to get it from an actual beauty source and not just scrimp and buy double sided tape from the bookstore—tape welts are not chic.

2. Make A Pact

When Tiffany Wilson’s gal pal asked her for a pat on the nose in White Chicks, she went absolutely wrong on two things: (1), the powder puff, (2) not checking the mirror. A sleek gilded powder compact is assurance that your nose is shine-free and your teeth don’t have a single lipstick smudge on them.

3. Take Note

The clothes, the people, the credits, the music, and (who knows) the numbers? You’ll need somewhere to jot everything down, even if you’re no spontaneous poet. Keep a tiny notepad with you at all times, together with a slim pen for everything worth noting down. Blue definitely had a clue when she and Steve bust out that handy-dandy notebook.

4. Bold Ambition

Whether your signature look is a retro red or an electric fuchsia, a vivid color always makes waves. Make sure to bring a tube of your favorite lippie even in the smallest clutch. A little color goes a long way.

5. Fringe Benefits

Nothing makes a look more polished than eyes wide and bright. But eyeliner can get too smudged even if it’s the most fashion-week-proof. On one hand, waterproof mascara almost always does its job. Stash a miniature tube that won’t just keep your fringes un-clumped, but is perfect for touch-ups as well.

6. Cash-N-Carry

Yes, bring your wallets! Slim and simple, with actual money in them. Sorry, you can’t live on pre-show canapés.—DALLAS DEEPKISS
