Alternative Polish singer Iza Lach debuts her new sound with a free mixtape produced by Berhane aka Snoop Lion aka the artist formerly known as Snoop Dogg.
With several Polish Grammy nominations under her belt, and a pop princess title tacked on, Iza Lach is finally going international with the help of another artist currently reinventing himself, Snoop Lion. The two have collaborated on several songs featured on the album.

Off the Wire, available today via Iza’s Bandcamp page, starts off by showing off Iza’s vocal style—sultry, smooth, and jazzy—accompanied by some bluesy riffs perfect for those lazy summer afternoons. Berhane’s production (Berhane is Snoop’s producer name, by the way) ranges from these feelgood jams to thumpy percussion in tracks like “Pressure Off,” “Set It Off, and “Off the Wire.”
“Yellow Brick Road” stands out as a Beth Gibbons-type hymn of listless lovelorn-ness with Iza’s voice wafting over deep bass thuds and melodic ambience. Meanwhile, “Back In Love” is a funkified Feist ditty with a bit of 80s pop thrown in. The entire album is a strong indicator of the singer/songwriter’s talent and potential. Sorry, Poland, but you can’t keep this girl to yourselves any longer.—D-SIÓN
