The White Stripes frontman Jack White cries hi ho silver away as he signs on to compose the track for Disney’s The Lone Ranger.
With Jack White’s film work in the past eclipsing ‘Blunderbuss’s recent launch, the Grammy award winner is on a roll with yet another milestone. The former White Stripes member will write, produce, and perform the score to Johnny Depp’s The Lone Ranger, which follows the life a masked ex-Texas Ranger (Armie Hammer) and his Native American sidekick Tonto (Johnny Depp). While no plot spoilers have been given yet, it is sure to show the crime-fighting duo vanquish the most dastardly mustache-twirling villains in the wild, wild, West.
I don’t know about you but I’m helluh excited about this collaboration. Jack isn’t exactly a stranger to film work, writing and performing with R&B songstress Alicia Keys for Quantum of Solace‘s “Another Way To Die.” If that’s any kind of taste to what we’ll be getting with this new project, them I’m sure we’ll be in for quite an interesting soundtrack.
The Lone Ranger premieres on May 31 next year.—LOSTGIRL
