The teaser for Kingsman: The Golden Circle shot past us faster than the goons could react to Hart’s (Colin Firth) famous whooping, ass-kicking bar scene. It’s a knowing nod to their self-aware burlesque humor, and a cheeky jab against the teaser trailer culture we’ve all come to hate and love. Crammed in a rapid-fire of frames, the 15-second video is a stupefying flurry of low-keyed action, explosions and seemingly stochastic imagery that we’d like to believe foreshadows an important game plan of the film.
As for the teaser itself, it’s a welcome-home greeting card to the origins of all teaser video where Kingsman: The Golden Circle went back to it’s roots and achieved just what it needed – to simply flirt with our curiosity and fan it’s flames. It winks at the audience as it sets the familiar stage of the ludicrous violence and self-ironic wit that set it apart from your typical spy films. One thing’s for sure, judging from the hints that we’ve got, it’s just as fantastically chaotic as it’s predecessor. – SWISS AND MISS
