In almost every field they’ve excelled in, the Japanese do so by trying something new, bold, and often weird—including streetwear fashion. The latest collection of Japanese brand Labrat sees what a lot of Western streetwear is afraid to do: playing around and trying weird things.
Hobo fashion never looked this eccentric. It’s fitting that Labrat picked a hairy, skinny white dude to model in the lookbook of their Fall/Winter collection. He seems to rock the whole I-traded-my-condo-for-a-pushcart-of-awesome-threads steez well. Indeed, Labrat’s latest is a colorful collection of coats, jackets, sweaters, vests, and what looks to be floral pink pajamas.

Strange. It actually works—real well, if I might add. Just goes to show that trying new stuff and daring to be weird is what gets you places.—LONGFELLOW
