Who says that you have to strip down in the heat? SM Men’s Fashion Spring/Summer 2013 says that you should pile it up. Dictating that layers don’t have to be part of your lenten sacrifices, SM pulled out all the stops, opening with a massive collection of color-blocked paneled suits, crisp button-downs, and windbreakers, denims, and embellished sweaters, in bright oranges and subdued blues. The line also sported patterned pieces featuring checks and paint daubs. They also served up some leather-dominant looks featuring full trenchcoats, blazers, biker jackets, parkas paired with knit scarves and hardware accessories.
Still, my favorite part would be the segment of K-Pop inspired fashion filled with paneled jackets, abstract tees, fitted-knee cargo shorts, slim-cut chinos, and horned snapbacks with camo details. Call it a little some some for the fans who exchanged their Big Bang tickets for Fashion Week ones instead.—DEXYLEBOWSKI
