The Hard Rock Café at Glorietta 4 hosted 10 artists as they contributed art for postcards of the Make-A-Wish Philippines. Because you can’t spell HEART without ART.
With Christmas coming soon (just a bit over a month long) Make-A-Wish Philippines rocked around the tree with the Rockeoke Christmas Launch, where anyone could walk out on the Hard Rock Café stage and to perform their favorite songs (backed by The Johnnys, whoot!) Shrinking violets passed on the mic but requested performances from the bucketload of illustrators present that night.
Artists Abi Goy, Apol Sta. Maria, Bru Sim, Dan Matutina, Dex Fernandez, Epjey Pacheco, Gigi Lapid, Lala Gallardo, Marcushiro Nada and Zeus Bascon, bestowed various postcards depicting children’s dreams and wishes for the benefit of the Make-A-Wish Foundation here in the Philippines. Postcards were sold at P100 a piece (P1000 for a box set) which isn’t bad as this was for making kids wishes come true.—ROBIN SPARKLES
