One word: Sublime. We rarely use that adjective, but Michael Cinco’s Holiday collection Madame Butterfly captures the lightness and heaviness of the word as if it was indeed an opera by Puccini. Speechless as we were, the STATUS team managed to verbalize our thoughts in three acts. His collection was poetry—all body—all movement in succession for that final exit. Brace yourself.
ACT ONE

Feels like McQueen. Feels like Dior Couture (SS07′s Japanesque show, to be exact). But no. This is Michael freaking Cinco!—GIODION
Dreaming about this tonight. -SEREENA
I died and went to bejeweled snowy heaven. Angels here wear headdresses, I wonder where I can get one! -DIZZYRIZZY
Well what can I say for a final show? Last impressions last. -TINDABS
ACT TWO

Had to pick up my jaw off the floor after Ria Bolivar. I was shaking and crying and cardiac arresting.—GIODION
Where words fail, Michael Cinco’s fashion speaks. -SEREENA
RIA BOLIVAR SHOCKED THE DEATH OUT OF ME! I WANT THOSE SHOES BTW. (mind the all caps) – DIZZYRIZZY
With designs like these, the question of wearability is forgotten. -TINDABS
ACT THREE

I DIED… And came back to life to give a proper standing ovation.—GIODION
I am so gonna get married in BOTH dresses.-SEREENA
I hate talking about marriage and kids but yeah, this scene made me re-evaluate my future. This also almost brought me to tears. I was crying… inside! – DIZZYRIZZY
I do. -TINDABS

Ugh. What a way to go!—GIODION
KILL ME FOR MISSING THIS SHOW! -SEREENA
Amazing does not describe this show! Michael Cinco is at a level of his own. I hope to wear one your dresses someday Michael. A WELL DESERVED STANDING OVATION!! -DIZZYRIZZY
Breathtakingly final as it was grand in scope, it was the kind of show that you’d be both happy and sad it ended. Happy, because it was beautiful, sad because if it’s not gonna end, a room for imperfection can arrive when it was in itself already perfect. Glorious. –TINDABS
