If you follow us on Twitter, you would know by now that a lucky little STATUS member (*cough* Hitgirl *cough*) flew to Singapore last weekend to attend a special screening of the MTV EMA Belfast 2011 held in the Odyssey Arena at Belfast, Northern Ireland. At STATUS, we don’t like boring recaps, instead, we bring you our top 5 best dressed for the night and some of the show’s highlights.
There’s a reason why Coldplay opened the awards, they know how to put on a sick ass show. It definitely made me jealous of all the people there in the crowd. Hosting the show was Selena Gomez who started the EMAs surrounded by flames! Talk about hot (literally?)

Selena Gomez – The first on our list is none other than the flaming hot (pun intended) host herself. Although I have to admit, not ALL of her nine outfits were show-stoppers, but she had a good amount of amazing threads like the white tutu dress she wore for the pink carpet and the cute little yellow party dress she later changed into.

Lady GaGa – Come on! With Lady GaGa’s track record (okay, fine, maybe there were a few stumbles along the road), it’d be crazy not to put her on the list. She was out of this world! Almost literally, again, performing on top of a moon. Lady GaGa definitely worked that hat and collar like only she can!

Jessie J – We have to say that we were like proud parents when we saw our September cover girl Jessie J perform a jaw-dropping performance and got the crowd to sing along! The print on her dress when she did the Amy Winehouse tribute was insane! And I’m definitely loving the body suit she wore for her performance with David Guetta and Taio Cruz.

Hayden Panettiere – Was it just me or were you all thinking the same thing? Was that a Rorschach print on that dress or just my imagination? In any case, she was so put together in that stunning black and white number that even when the streaker came out, she still looked chic and poised despite the (scripted?) awkward conversation. P.S. Only in Europe right?

Adam Lambert – I think when singing lead for a legendary band like Queen who, after about 40 years, can still rock out like nobody’s business, one has to turn up the volume a bit with their wardrobe. That Matrix-esque look during the closing performance was very Adam, but it looked so slick and it fit him so well that it made him more of a rockstar than he already is.–VEGGIE SAMURAI
