Nothing gets the crowd pumping more than Marina Benipayo dressed in fiery red while dancing as she opens Eric Delos Santos’ Holiday 2012 collection. To everyone’s surprise, the inspiration of the whole collection was a funeral. Instead of focusing on sadness and the dark side of things, Eric celebrated life and learning how to let go. Having a fresh start after such turmoil never looked this good but then again, leather, chiffon and brocades can be a very very deadly combination.
May it be death, a breakup or something crappy that involves tissues and sobbing, Eric Delos Santos Holiday collection wants none of that. No more tears for the ladies that don his fashions! Eric wants his women to feel beautiful. Nothing screams just more than looking hella fab. Looking good and feeling it too is what it’s all about.
Eric masters the shape of a woman’s body by dressing her in fitted pelplum skirts, sequined blazers, cutout jumpsuits, fur jackets and of course, elegant dresses. Accenting each piece with details that show just the right amount of skin, his latest collection didn’t only invoke sexy but also sophistication. With colors that range from black, purple to orange, you can grieve no more and maybe, like Rita Ora’s song “R.I.P to the girl you used to see, her days are over.” Now walk it out, girl.—DIZZYRIZZY
