“Alon” – Hale
After eight years, one of the most prominent local bands Hale finally is in-motion to release their 6th studio album some time this year. “Alon” is their first single from that upcoming offering and was written by the band’s guitarist Roll Martinez.
“8 to 5” – Rivermaya
Talk about being resilient, Rivermaya had changes in the line-up of their members but seeing that this is their 12th studio album and celebrating their 23rd anniversary in the music industry, the magic is still definitely there. Here’s the second single from their latest release Sa Kabila ng Lahat.
“Sunshine” – MilesExperience
This visually entertaining music video for MilesExperience’s song “Sunshine” is just what we need to start our morning (or end our day). This is the first single from their follow up to their debut album Again & Against, which is set to be released this year.
“Against the Ropes” – Typecast feat. Reg Rubio
It’s so nice to hear that rock band Typecast is still loud and proud. Acquiring the help of Greyhoundz’s frontman Reg Rubio, this new track will be included in the band’s EP to be released this November. Make sure to watch this one-take music video directed by Arvin Belarmino ‘til the end.
“Gabi Man, May Araw Din” – Ely Buendia
To cap this OPM list, here’s a new track from the music icon that is Ely Buendia. This first single out again as a solo artist after his album Wanted: Bedspacer, was written by Ely as part of the soundtrack for one of this year’s Cinemalaya entries Ang Pamilyang Hindi Lumuluha. – THE D
