Trippin Out
Photography
Published on Wednesday, May 20, 2009

Studios need not be big and intimidating especially for those new to the craft of photography; it can be cool and homey. Triptych is a quintessential studio nestled away in Makati city. Entering the studio you’re greeted by a long hallway with white walls. Once out of the passage you’re in a lobby with luscious red walls and a funky zebra patterned door that hides the actual studio. There’s a dressing room, a make-up and all the amenities you’ll need for your shoot. For those new photographers out there it’s the perfect studio for you. The space is just the right size, and it has all the equipment one may need to practice lighting that perfect shot.
Triptych is located at
177 Yakal Street
Ground Floor Sarmiento Condominium,
San Antonio Village, Makati CityFor more Info see Triptych Studios

Artist Jan Vormann shows us all how the “emptiness” can be filled with play time as he fills Berlin’s walls with these “constructions materials”. In case your jealous and are around the area, feel free to pop by and join the fun! Many people have actually just shown up in platoons of families and friends to take part of the exhibit hands on.

What’s Cookin?
Published on Wednesday, May 20, 2009

In light of a previous post that inspired food cravings and tummy growling all over our headquarters, this is what STATUS would be sporting if we were to give up take-out and actually cooked for ourselves. Check out this induction cooktop from Oranier. Not only does it save you time and energy but as well as trips to the hospital due to accidental burns.

From Within Outward
Architecture
Published on Wednesday, May 20, 2009

Lucky Upper East Siders, and I don’t mean the Gossip Girls folks, they’re just walking by the golden architectural legacy called The Guggenheim. And this week, they can get to know even better the old man who created their artistic landmark. Sketches and archive photos of Frank Lloyd Wright’s staggering work are on show for the museum’s 50th anniversary this year. If his structures look contemporary or even futuristic to you, imagine how people saw them 50 years ago. Our big salute to this grandaddy of forward design. (via Wallpaper)

Singapore

Ro flew to Singapore to cover Fashion Festival. (While the rest of us poor slaves stayed here. Just kidding! We held down the fort while our boss was gone) She stayed at an amazing hotel. Check out the rest of her entry…

Part 2
Room Service Anyone?
The best part about staying in a hotel is the fresh sheets and perfect room temperature. I love those as well but for me (being a design fanatic) I need a well thought out and beautifully designed space.
