Bonjour! It’s that time of the year when the world’s most famous and fabulous gather together to witness what trends will shape the world next year.

I arrived at the Charles De Gaulle Airport last Tuesday to a landscape dripping with heavy rain so, thank God the sun finally came out for the first day of Menswear Spring/Summer 2013 here in Paris, France. The highlight of the day—other than seeing lovely familiar faces—was bumping into Japanese superstar Verbal decked in Fil-Am designer Shaun Samson at the Mugler show.

Savile Row designer Hardy Amies debuted Paris Men’s Fashion Week today. For his latest collecition, Hardy Amies played with solids and prints to achieve sartorial elegance and modern British dandyism at its finest. I can totally see Rachel Zoe’s former assistant Brad Goreski rocking this stuff.—JP ON FASHION SPEED
