The revelation of Puey Quinones’ artistry in this Spring Summer collection left this writer in awe and absolute speechlessness. Masked with Frida Kahlo’s infamous ‘brow and draped with Jackson Pollock’s tapestry “drip” technique, the collection was even crowned with the unmistakable fusion of contemporary art’s masters.
Sheer fabrics that were almost metallic, and the ethereal use of a “royalty” color palette of electric blue and gold. Dramatic drapery, inimitable patterned lace, piled, sewn, and woven mesh, cotton, silk, and drawstrings. OK wow, so do you sense the enthusiasm? Words and other adjectives will do no justice, so why don’t you just observe the artistry? - KAYCE
