In case you’ve been stuck in front of the TV or buried under books these past couple of days, then you’ve totally missed it. Announced over the radio and passed on predominantly through word of mouth, bands from all over Metro Manila came together for Hoy Hoy Ondoy, a fund raiser with all proceeds going to Red Cross Philippines. It was just amazing to see private citizens, celebrities, band-aids, band-geeks, glam-ed dolls and all of the above, all in one place, all for one cause.

With beers in one hand and charitable donations in the other, it was hard to find anyone not smiling and singing along. It didn’t matter if they didn’t know the band playing or the song they were singing because we all know, “There’s nothing stronger than the heart of a volunteer.”

At the end of the night? All I can think of was, Hoy Ondoy! Manila’s coming out damn strong. - KAYCE
