Beyond the catchy “Young Folks” that’s one of this decade’s top music gems (which you probably heard in Gossip Girl or the movie 21), STATUS Maestro Peter Morén of Peter Bjorn and John is on to bigger things with his new solo LP, I Spåren Av Tåren. His album will be released on March 3 in Scandinavia. What an interesting turn for him since he sung in his own tongue, Swedish. Watch his music video for the track  “Esther” after the jump.

What a pleasure to see our favorite band members branching out to their solo interests. It’s just a little sad too because usually when this happens, collective band outputs become rarer. But look at Fergie, and Beyonce–they both go back to their main gigs once in a while. I guess it’s just natural–going solo and all that. Besides, it can be a brilliant career move too. -TINDABS
