The Last Sunset

Category: Travel
Name: Teo Dacanay
This photo was taken during our family’s 65th annual clan reunion. We gather at the end of each year as thanksgiving for the past year as well as to welcome the new year together as a family. The sunset was such a beautiful end for a year of blessings and joys.
The Wedding Day

Category: Fashion
Name: Martin David
I was at the wedding of my friend and chanced upon their own photo shoot before heading to the reception. Clearly, I had a behind the scenes view of what was going on before the official photographer had his shot. It was a special day for them and they looked awesome! The tuxedo worked well with the wedding gown and made the couple the best looking couple that evening. The photo encapsulates the best way to live a life of togetherness– with happiness, laughter and a whole lot of fun!
Sea of Gadgets

Category: Technology
Name: Danissa Salasalan
Almost everyone whipped out a gadget as Parokya ni Edgar started their performance. The crowd looked like this throughout the band’s one-hour set. We didn’t mind because we were enjoying the night. No moshpit allowed, though.
The Viewer and The View

Name: Katrina P. de Dios
Took a photo of the viewer at the 38th floor of the Crown Regency Hotel during our trip to Cebu. The viewer actually looks like a robot watching over Cebu city
Senado Square

Category: Travel
Name: Martin David
During the holiday season, thousands and thousands set foot to Macau’s Senado Square. The place is filled with shops and foodstuffs as well as some landmarks that are always well lit. What’s great is that Macau makes an effort to spruce the place up some more with lights and other interesting sculptures to make it much more festive for everyone.
Hong Kong Bus

Category: Travel
Name: Cholo dela Vega
Hong Kong Bus – The only time I get to ride these things is when I go to the luxury brand outlet store beside a wet market in Ap Lei Chau. The first time I got inside, I immediately went up and sat on the front. It was scary, you get super close encounters with other double deck buses, posts of flyovers and when it stops to waiting passengers, you have that feeling that they’ve been hit because they disappear from the view in the upper deck-pardon my imagination. It’s a scary ride at first but when you realize you are not riding a bus speeding at EDSA, you’ll realize that it’s safe.
Lisboa

Macau…the little city where dreams are made of. I was amazed at the flashing lights and effects scattered along the cotai strip. LEDs, computer-generated light f/x add to the wonder that is Macau. Here’s Grand and Casino Lisboa, the oldest and newest creation of Casino magnate Stanley Ho.
A Perfect Dessert

Category: Food
Name: Don B. Covar
I was craving a dessert during a hectic day of business meetings in Egypt. I really liked to have a perfect dinner and good thing there was a nearby restaurant in our office named Casper & Gambini’s. I had a delicious dinner but I was still hypnotized to try out their wide array of desserts. I was glued to one of their cakes, Chocolate Mousse with Strawberry on top. It was truly like a cake made for pharoahs even just by looking at it. The chocolate shavings on top further excites my taste buds to try out this dessert. The addition of the perfect slice of strawberry completes the whole dessert. Who would say NO to this dessert…it is one of the best dessert I have tasted so far. Yum yum! Now I’m hungry again just looking at this picture.
MOA Sunset

Category: Travel
Name: Josine Kara J. Orejola
Manila Bay Sunset is definitely one of the most beautiful, breath-taking sceneries there is. When I go to the SM Mall of Asia, I always make it a point to watch the sunset because it’s one of my simple joys in life.
I loved the way the beauty of the sunset was captured by my camera, even if I was inside a mall when I took this shot. I love it even more because this shot is “naturally” beautiful. Ahhh…Manila Bay Sunset. What’s not to love?
Sundaet at Eskimo Bob

Category: Food
Name: Josine Kara J. Orejola
I love hanging out with my closest friends — one night in a mall, catch up on each other over dinner, coffee or ice cream. One night, I met up with my closest OJT friend, Dea. We rarely see each other since she’s now staying in Batangas while I reside in Cavite. We were walking around SM Mall of Asia, looking for a good resto to have dinner at, then we saw Eskimo Bob. Their sundaes looked so enticing…so enticing that we wanted to have sundae for dinner! Don’t they just look so yummy? Well, they don’t just look yummy, they actually are! Good thing I was able to capture how delectable these sundaes were. Now, whenever I see this picture, I remember how much I loved that night — a “sundaete” with a close friend.
Loving the Sunset at Mamburao, Mindoro

Category: Travel
Name: Cherry Pascual
There are really a lot of good places here in the Philippines; some places just need good publicity and exposure to see their breathless beauty. At first, Im a little hesitant in going to Mamburao since the most popular beaches and destinations are in Puerto Galera but the moment my friends and I stepped on the place it is really a place where you can hang out and rest since it is not a crowded place. It is a place of peace and tranquility. We went to one resort that was really near the sea and almost every day we are like beach hopping since there are lot good places to go to there like ëthe bukali. Its a nice experience to see the sunset with the people close to your hearts. Itís really a warm and heartful experience.
Laser Blaster

Name: Richard Joseph Sumait
One of the special numbers during our companyís Octoberfest was this laser show where 2 ladies were wearing dresses filled with bits of mirror glasses, flashed with lasers while they were dancing. What a brilliant idea instead of using mirror balls!
Serenity in Farming

Serenity in Farming- Philippine Golden Rice Farm
I and my blockmates were on a field trip to Nueva Ecija for our Biology class. We all thought it would be boring because we had to sit in a lecture for over an hour before being brought to the real thing. The tour around the field was great! It was as if mother nature was speaking to us at the moment.

I’m a photographer wanna be so that I tried to take a photo of a bride inside the car. Crazy girl I am! This was taken from Concepcion Church in Marikina City. I wanna wear that white long gown when I chose the right one.
Colorful Marikina

I really love the city where I was born
Marikina is one of the cleanest city in the Philippines. Mayor Marides Fernando is really creative when it comes to designing the river side. Look at those creative colorful flowers. Children and family used to take a photo with the background of this cool things! Oh so lovely city
Favorite Oyster

Yummy Oysters for me and my partner for dinner! We both love seafood. We tried the Oyster promo of Freska in Greenhills Shopping Center and it was so delicious! Steamed only but look, they are big right? This is one of the best restaurant I’ve ever seen!
Everything Old is New Again

Category:Technology
Name: Rochelle Dumlao
I love digital photography — I love that fact that you can take as many shots as you like without thinking about the consequences. However, there’s a special place in my heart for the Polaroid camera. People may scoff that the Polaroid print is woefully obsolete, but there is something magical about light and chemicals and paper that captures an emotion just moments after it has passed. My idea of heaven is a world where Polaroid film is as cheap and plentiful as digital storage cards; maybe if I wish hard enough someone somewhere is going to make my dreams come true.
Lighted Palm Trees

Category: Travel
Name: Dominic Hormigos
Photo was taken when we were in Boracay using my old point and shoot camera Sony DSC P-150. I particularly chose this night shot as the bright lights illuminated the coconut trees from below. Not the usual lighted trees where they surround it with blinking lights. Here, the circular lamp lights extended its illumination from the trees’ trunk until its expanding branches. This plus some great buddies made us stay in that place until the wee hours of the morning.
Happy Birthnight

Category: Food
Name: Anna Mikaela Lagera
My little cousin Danielle turned 7 years old a couple of days ago and to celebrate her birthday, I decided to give her a new experience: being greeted a happy birthday at the strike of midnight. And so I bought her a cute birthday cupcake with purple frosting, and then lit up the slim yellow candle I put on top. After taking a snapshot to preserve the moment (which I will e-mail her when she turns 18), I woke her up. Her eyes lit up when she saw our little surprise (and everyone else in the room with gifts, of course) and after we greeted her, she blew her candle, and then we turned the lights on.
