cover If dreams can be captured in polaroids and stuck on a pastel, vintage-looking wall, then the whole lot of them would probably look like the Southern Stories photo exhibit.

Inspired by their childhoods in the greener pastures down south, Charles Buenconsejo and Aleyn Comprendio teamed up with Heima to create a two-man show entitled, Sea, Sun, and Sky and We’d Seen Each Other In A Dream as homage to their respective hometowns.

“I wanted to share to the people here in Manila all the stuff in Iloilo that I think they’d appreciate,” says Aleyn.

True to their intention, a gust of nature and nostalgia filled the air during the exhibit launch as the crowd was serenaded by the Walkie Talkies in an evening of food, drinks, art, and music.

The Southern Stories exhibit will be open until May 30 at Heima, LRI Makati.—LOSTGIRL
