Roland Lirio is a beast. We mean this in a good way, of course. His Spring/Summer 2013 collection totally brought the house down as an army of models were striking their best poses down the runway clad in bright swimsuits, argyle print gowns, bright colored suits, and color-blocked sportswear that reminded us of race flags in a palette of orange, white, and blue panels. Who would have thought that studded leather baseball caps and gloves as well as see-through visors would look oh so perfectly chic when paired with floor-length dresses?
We literally had an ‘Oh my God!’ moment with every menswear look that walked down the runway. Garnering oohs and ahs, the crowd was in complete awe of those mesh varsity jackets and bomber jackets with orange and blue piping, not to mention those head-to-toe monochromatic looks in orange and white. Damn those gold-studded orange and black blazers, white leather gloves, and visors! Our closets are in desperate need of those items. Please come to mama.—LET’S GET LAO
