We’re now in the second month of 2017, and many of us may have sworn to make this year better by ending our unhealthy habits and develop new ones that would make us fit–physically fit. So just to catch up, how are your New Year’s resolutions going so far?
Kudos to those who remained consistent with their plans; it’s nice to know that you guys had a productive month. And for those who have been slacking, don’t be upset with yourself; it can get pretty hard. We all have our off days. Just don’t slack too much to the point that your goals get harder to attain. Remember, it’s progress and not perfection. Here are ten songs to pump you up and stay on track.
Chance The Rapper – “No Problem” feat. 2 Chainz & Lil Wayne
Have a strong start in your workout with zero problems. Turn up the volume and groove with Lil Chano, 2 Chainz, and Lil Wayne as you pump some iron. This song will help raise your energy as soon as you step inside the gym with its bustling vibe.
Kanye West – “Fade”
Do you feel it? Kanye proves that, apart from his adidas footwear line, boost is also embodied in his songs. After listening to this track, you’ll find yourself wanting to go to the gym and get sweaty, and it’s all thanks to Yeezy.
Eminem – “Lose Yourself”
You may not always get the time and chance to invest in yourself and spend hours for fitness, so whenever you have that one shot to do so, do not miss that one opportunity. Let Eminem make you lose yourself in the workout with this song.
Linkin Park – “Numb”
If you need a lively song for a lively workout, have Linkin Park rock your way to the gym and have your energy levels up in every lift. A song that’ll have you pumped from start to end, this will definitely help you get in the zone.
Drake – “Energy”
Sometimes, it’s hard to avoid the pessimism of people, so instead of dwelling on unfavorable ambience, convert that negative energy to encouragement and physical intensity. Here’s a reminder from October’s very own, telling you to not let them take the wave and drain you down.
DVBBS – “Ur On My Mind”
If you’re that type of person who likes to run or jog long miles, then this song should be added to your playlist. With a catchy beat and melody, DVBBS will have you vibin’ and running longer with their music. Here’s to more cardio and greater distances.
Mac Miller – “Donald Trump”
Don’t let politics or any other issues affect your time in the gym. If you can’t take over the world, take over your workout at least. Release the stress and worry of what has been happening lately. Don’t bother with who they say is the next Hitler, just jam to this song by Mac Miller.
Desiigner – “Panda”
If we’re talking energy, we know Desiigner never runs out of it. Always be on the move and adapt his zero chill mentality whenever you’re in the gym to get more gains. Draw more strength and lift like you’re a panda with this jam.
Fort Minor – “High Road” feat. John Legend
If your mind is made up and your body is ready for a better change, listen to this song. A good combination of hip-hop and contemporary R&B, allow Fort Minor and John Legend to help you step up your fitness game.
Rob Bailey & The Hustle Standard – “Hungry”
Workouts can get really difficult, especially if nutrition is part of the resolution. At times, we crave for food we try to avoid, but hopefully that craving matches your hunger in achieving your goals. It’s hard to hustle, but you know you’re better than this.–LEX LUTHOR VANDROSS
