Sony yet again released another gadget that’s perfect for this go-getter generation. Having music as inspiration, four of the best in their fields tell us how the Sony Walkman is the perfect ear companion while at work.
Like warming up, Ateneo Blue Eagles Power Forward Nicolas Salva uses music to pump him up before games, mostly listening to positive hip-hop songs that motivate him to work harder.

Also leading the active life, Rein Navarro, part of dance crews *Addlib and Rockstars get her dance inspirations from music. Whether hip-hop, R&B, or rock, she’ll dance to the music as long as the vibe is right.

Meanwhile, vocalist Raleene Cabrera of acoustic group Walkie Talkies has to constantly immerse herself in music. Composing own songs as well as doing covers with her sister, they take standing out from other performers seriously. “My sister and I want to be versatile, so we expose ourselves to different genres, create and pick songs that don’t sound too much alike.”

Lastly, self-confessed part of the “multi-slasher generation,” stylist, designer, writer and blogger Carlos Concepcion says he literally cannot work without music. “I am rarely inspired by anything physical. What move me are emotions, and most of them are felt through music. Anything I’ve ever created is a result of a song.”

These Sony Walkman models—NWZ-W262, NWZ-WE460, NWZ-B163—will be available this month. Watch out for the video and images in Sony stores nationwide, too.—LILLEE
