From the synthetic waves electro house music has broke back from the get-go to the present, Steve Aoki’s name has always been flashing with a blindingly reputable career as a DJ, and one who’s definitely a must on your coolest guest list. But looking at him from a bigger picture, people usually miss out on the fact that he has also built a name for himself in the fashion industry through his own pieces from his ongoing Dim Mak collection, which will be released alongside his latest LP, “Kolony” in spring 2018.
Originally released back in 2014, the collection was an ode to his music and dare-deviled unapologetic lifestyle. Now, he sequinned each piece with a thread of hope for the world we live in, which blossomed from his idea of paradise being found in this midst of this dichotomous reality through a mix of unique designs such as cyborg palm trees, integrated barbed wires, flak jackets and phrases like, “Land of the free, home of the brave” patch-worked across the back. – CASA BIANCA
