Super Bowl is one of the busiest times in American history where everyone drops everything they’re holding to gather around the TV. Papers, phones, food, babies, they’re all on the ground once the Super Bowl is on. But while it’s the game they’re after, people are also clamoring for the new ads and teaser trailers that appear during commercial breaks. Each one newly released only for Superbowl. John Wick 2
Formerly retired assassin John Wick isn’t taking shit from anyone. In this new teaser, he gives us a glimpse of just how serious he is to bring on the hurt. Catch John Wick on the silver screen this February 9.
A Cure for Wellness
When your boss has been trapped inside some sort of cult facility, you don’t rush in to save him. You call the police. But you might as well try to look good to your employers when you save him, so why the hell not jump right in. Premiering on February 17.
Heartbreaking as it is, this movie will be Hugh Jackman’s final portrayal of Wolverine. After 17 years, Wolverine bonds with a young girl with similar powers as him. The movie comes out on March 3.
Ghost in the Shell
Coming March 31, the beloved Japanese animation’s American live action adaption will soon be premiering. Scarlett Johansson will take lead as a cyborg field commander to take on criminals and hackers.
Starring Rebecca Ferguson, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Ryan Reynolds, this film follows a group of astronauts as they retrieve a space probe that came from Mars and inside it is a life form of unknown origins. Everyone should take this as a sign that there’s an alien planning to kill your entire crew. But no, this is study material. It takes them being picked off one by one for them to realize how dangerous this thing is. See it all go down on March 24.
The Fate of the Furious
Out in theaters this April 14, Dom has suddenly betrayed his family after meeting a chick. Not an uncommon story, but it’s a mysterious circumstance considering how much Dom values his friends and family.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Giving a May 5 release, Star Lord and his crew make a return with this new awesome trailer. We have a groot feeling out this.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
After six years, the newest Pirates of the Caribbean entry arrives. Slated for Memorial Day on May 26, the mud-covered Captain Jack Sparrow is yet again pursued by another foe and his undead army.
Hit the beach this May 26! You’ll be safe when the Baywatch has an eye on everyone. Just watch out for the explosives and bullets.
Transformers: The Last Knight
Assuming Michael Bay can be taken seriously at this point, this Transformers will be his last. Here’s to hoping that he stays true to his word. Coming to theaters this June 23, the new teaser for The Last Knight shows off multitudes of explosions and baby dinobots as well as a fight between Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.–ERNEST TO GOODNESS
