The cast for Disney’s live action and CG-adaptation for Lion King coming this 2019 has finally been announced. Rumors had circulated this month-old project on who will star on the adaptation of one of the most iconic Disney films of all time. Jon Favreau’s cast list is not playing around. It all the more heightens the hype for this upcoming adaptations. Playing the titular role of Simba would be none other than the rapper/actor — Donald Glover. While Simba’s counterpart Nala, would be played by Queen B herself, Beyonce Knowles. As announced in Disney’s Facebook page, 12 Years A Slave’s Chiwetal Ejiofor will take on the role of the villain Scar. James Earl Jones will reprise his role from the original animated version as Mufasa. Seth Rogen, John Oliver, Eric Andre, and Keagan Michael-Key are also in the cast pool.
