Would you have noticed if I didn’t mention “invisible”? Beijing-based artist Liu Bolin is having a one-man show at YU Gallery Paris this October for his amazing disappearing acts.
The government closed his art studio 4 years ago, but that didn’t stop Liu from putting his work out. In these meticulously staged photos, he takes as much as 10 hours to perfect the wallflower effect, rendering his feelings of alienation, issuing a silent but provocative statement.
