The What: Philippine Fashion Week S/S 2013 Day 3

Philippine Fashion Week S/S 2013

Published on Friday, October 26, 2012

Day Three rolled by, rain poured in, and the food walked by. What can we say, Day Three was filled with ups and downs (ok, maybe that was just the rain) but that didn’t stop us from rolling with the punches and upping the ante as more designer shows came out and we basked in the awe and majesty of couture at work. All this while sleep deprived and Red Bull charged! Whoot!

What We Saw

Day Three was all about the details, for us. From studded white gloves at the Roland Lirio show to Vania Romoff’s massive statement necklaces and SM’s parade of shoes and bags. What can we say? The devil is in the details so we had no choice but to get spotting!

What We Heard

Or should we say, What We Heart? It was a great day for runway music. Our heads were bobbing, our feet tapping—and hey, our ears even spotted some former Maestros in the mix. Check out some of our faves.

What We Wore

Kim and Chris tried to escape Vietnam for America but they landed in Philippine Fashion Week instead.  Yep, somehow, there always manages to be a theme with STATUS, even if we don’t even realize it ourselves.

WTF

  • Ok, you guys know that STATUS brings the hustle during Philippine Fashion Week, and sometimes that means we lose some sleep. Ok, fine. It means we lose a LOT of sleep. So please don’t blame our editor when she falls asleep for more than 50% of the show. She loved the collections, that’s true, but girl just can’t catch a break. Maybe it’s time for another Red Bull.
  • Speaking of being out of it, STATUS girls hardly get a meal in between shows so when we see food, we run for it. We’re all for ideal bodies and all but we need to keep up our energy for watching shows and blogging. So, yeah, if you saw us going at the hors d’oeuvres last night (one of us maybe even got a little bit of chicken sauce on her hair) it’s really not our fault. We’re hungry!
  •  Lot of future models in the making during that SM Shoes & Bags show. The kiddies were all for strutting their stuff on the runway. One kid even got a little too overwhelmed and did a slow-mo, getting more limelight (and awwws) than the rest.
  • Yo! Wino in the third row! We know that they serve alcohol in this thing, but you didn’t need to go at it the whole night. I could have lived without hearing you howl at the models for the entire show. A little bit of class next time, ok?—DEXYLEBOWSKI
