The What: Philippine Fashion Week S/S 2013 Day 4

Philippine Fashion Week S/S 2013

Don’t let the hurt get you down. The pain is momentary, but the experience lives on?

What can we say, the ache in our high heel-clad feet got us all philosophical. Effects of torture? Maybe! Day 4 went on with more designer shows and the chaos on the lines went to an all time high. It was standing room only at the Luxewear show and STATUS could have given all the designers a standing ovation too if only our feet were in better condition.

What We Saw

Is there anything better than seeing the Philippine fashion elite sport their best stuff on the runway? From Cary Santiago’s revelation in origami-inspired ensembles to the Luxewear designers’ parade of distinct design aesthetics, we had an fashgasm this Day 4. And now, you can to!

PS: We met the divine Sarah Speechly of Not Just A Label, and we have to say, her accent has us getting speech-envy!

What We Heard

Do you know how giddy it makes us to hear STATUS March 2012 cover Santigold on the runway? Giddier than you, that’s for sure.

What We Wore

We miss our fierce fashion interns and we tried to channel their spirit. Excuse us if we went a little crazy.

WTF

  • You may be the only one clapping, but we’re with you honey, even if it’s only in spirit!
  • It was a game of thrones this season and some people have found themselves on the losing end. Oh well, guess they need to be a little bit more like Dany and wreak some fire and blood next time they’re bumped off to the next row.
  • Our numbers may be dwindling but help came in tiny packages. A Silly Little Panda has been sharing the load like Sam to our Frodo and we couldn’t be any more thankful. Holla at yo’ girl!
  • Waiting in line is a bitch but the men in black who refused to let us in despite our IDs are worse. They even pulled out a model who was on her way to watch the show. Tsk tsk.—DEXYLEBOWSKI
