The Classic story of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland will be brought to life by Tim Burton‘s magic gothic hands, anticipated to be released in 2010. This film will fuse live-action and performance capture movement, making use of CGI and animation to tweak the actor’s movements.
Consistent in all Burton movies, his production design and character styling look very solid. Part of the cast, will be of course, Tim Burton’s personal favorite, Johnny Depp as the mad hatter, see picture below (yes, that’s really Johnny Depp)

Helena Bonham Carter as the Queen of Hearts.

Matt Lucas as Tweedledee and Tweedledum

Anne Hathaway as the White Queen

Mia Wasikowska of HBO’s “In Treatment” will be playing 17-year old Alice.

I know what you’re thinking, you’re tired of the different Alice In Wonderland adaptations? Aside from the fact that this is Tim Burton’s work, there’s a twist in the story, it’s not young Alice going down the rabbit hole for the first time, it’s 17 year old Alice who returns to Wonderland without prior memory of it, and this time, the creatures of Wonderland need her help. Don’t expect this to be anything like the Disney Alice in Wonderland, let’s all take a trip back tp rabbit hole with 17-year old Alice, don’t be so sure of what we’re about to find there.-KIT G.
