Pixar‘s 13th feature film brings us another unlikely hero—or should I say heroine? Get ready to be Brave.
Set in the mysterious and rugged highlands of Scotland, Brave tells the story of an impetuous young princess named Merida (Kelly Macdonald).
Born into the life of privilege but determined to make her own, Merida defies the customs of her people which lands her (and her people) into a bigger mess than anyone could have expected. Confused and helpless, Merida turns to an eccentric old witch (Julie Walters) to undo the chaos. But in exchange for the favor, Merida is cursed.

Knowing Pixar, there will be lessons to be learned, crazy adventures to be had, unexpected turns to be coped with, and plenty of heart to fall in love with. In an age and culture where sexism is tolerated, and women are given less freedom then they’re due, Brave is a film that parallels that reflects women of a modern age.
Scottish accents, epic battles, royal courts, witches, and magic are just some of the many things I’m looking forward to. But when it comes down to it, anything stamped with the word Pixar gets me excited. Can’t wait to see it next year!—ROBIN SPARKLES
