Most of us first fell in love with Train when they came up with “Meet Virginia” way, way back in 1999. After a 3 year gap from their For Me It’s You album, this alternative rock band is back with their 5th one called Save Me San Francisco that’s sure to make you fall sweetest in love the fifth time around. The better news? They’re coming to Manila!

With their catchy melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and Pat Monahan’s rather out of the ordinary voice, Train has, for almost a decade now, been one of my most listened to, underrated bands. Although the single, “Hey Soul Sister”, is more for a mainstream listener, don’t you think it’s still very enjoyable? The album’s got a great mix of their old sounds and new approaches—I personally love “Brick by Brick” and “If It’s Love”—and we can’t wait to hear them live! Man, I hope they play some of their old songs too, like “Drops of Jupiter” and “Calling All Angels” (let’s keep our fingers and toes crossed, guys).
