Hellz Bellz has been reppin’ it for the ladies since 2005. Founder and creative director, Lanie Alabanza-Barcena lands on our shores for the launch of the limited edition and incredibly bad ass collaboration between Vans X Hellz Bellz. If you weren’t at Vans Glorietta 3 yesterday, you missed out my friend.
Tough silver hardware plus zebra print, this collab was love at first sight for me. The limited edition collection composed of two sneaker styles and two bag styles combine Vans‘ street appeal with Hellz Bellz‘s gritty glam.

The highlight of this event for me, aside from the awesome kicks on display of course, was meeting Lanie Alabanza-Barcena of Hellz Bellz. She hustled to get to the top and she definitely reps for the strong female. Clad in an all black jumpsuit, 4.5-inch leopard print wedges, and gold accessories (which were to die for by the way), there was no denying that she lived and breathed fashion. She was so friendly and gamely posed for everyone’s cameras. She was even hamming it up in the photobooth!

Vans gave away CDs of mixes by DJ Jena and DJ Teaze at the event and when I arrived, Lanie was doodling on one. So cute! I wonder who was the lucky person who picked it up.

Good grub, cold drinks, head bobbing music courtesy of DJ Jena, great company, and an inspiring fashion collaboration– what’s not to love? The Vans X Hellz Bellz launch event yesterday was the perfect way to cap off a long day at work or better yet, to jumpstart a night of crazy partying.

Vans sure knows how to throw a good party. The atmosphere was so chill and it had just the right mix of people–industry insiders, sneakerfreaks, athletes, and celebrities. But even more than that, Vans knows what we want, and what we want is more exclusive collabs with hot brands like Hellz Bellz. Till the next one! -VIVALAVIDA
