Three young art femmes celebrate women’s month through Cantos, an all-woman exhibit launched at Cubao X’s White Box Gallery last Friday. The reference to The Divine Comedy sounded intimidating to me, but when I saw the keg of beer outside the incandescent gallery swarmed by artistes (like moths drawn to light), I figured there’s something about the show, and maybe it’s not just the booze. The can of pilsen I had from the other side of the boheme microcosm certainly helped me to approach the exhibit’s divine trinity–Nikki Abaya, Dang Sering, and Mimi Tecson.
